QA Test Automation Engineer

Job description

For the continued development of our B2C platform, we are looking for an experienced Test Automation Engineer. The assignment focuses on improving software quality through the design, implementation, and optimisation of automated testing solutions within a modern cloud-based environment.

You will apply your expertise in test automation, quality assurance, and DevOps integration to strengthen quality engineering practices across the product delivery process. A key objective of this assignment is to support a shift-left QA approach, ensuring quality is embedded from the earliest stages of development and continuously improving automation coverage.

What will you deliver

• A scalable and maintainable test automation framework aligned with enterprise quality standards.
• Increased automated test coverage across the B2C platform.
• Seamless integration of automated testing within DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Improved visibility of software quality through structured test reporting and defect management.
• Enhanced QA processes that contribute to predictable and high-quality software delivery.

What will you do

• Design and implement scalable, standards-compliant test automation frameworks.
• Integrate automated testing into DevOps processes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Define test approaches, estimates, and execution plans for new functionality.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, analysts, and architects to translate requirements into effective testing solutions.
• Develop automated test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
• Identify, document, and analyse defects.
• Support root cause analysis and contribute to sustainable quality improvements.
• Contribute to backlog refinement and sprint planning from a QA perspective.
• Promote best practices in test automation and quality engineering.

Eisen

• Proven experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) in C#.
• Strong experience in test automation, including SpecFlow, Reqnroll, and API automation testing.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments and cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proven experience testing data-intensive systems where data ingestion, validation, and processing are critical.
• Demonstrated experience testing event-driven architectures, preferably Kafka-based environments.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as K6 or JMeter.
• Working knowledge of SQL.

Wensen

• Experience as a QA Automation Engineer within mission-critical environments such as energy, financial services, healthcare, or similar sectors.
• Knowledge of B2C business operations and customer-centric platforms.
• Experience within the energy sector.
• Experience with Dynatrace.
• Experience applying modern quality engineering and DevOps practices.
