Functional Administrator / Tester

For an energy client, we are looking for a Functional Administrator in the role of Tester to support a large‑scale system transformation within Customer Services.

The Role

In this role, you contribute to the quality and reliability of business processes and IT solutions. You act as the link between business and IT, with a strong focus on user acceptance testing (UAT). You work closely with business process managers, implementation managers, testers, and end users to ensure new applications are fit for day‑to‑day operations.

The assignment takes place within a multi‑year programme in which legacy systems are being replaced by new applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Support business stakeholders in defining test cases and test approaches
• Contribute to decisions on test methods and test automation
• Analyse test results, identify issues, and document findings clearly
• Safeguard the quality of processes, data, and application functionality
• Advise on functional requirements needed for future‑proof functional management
• Ensure testing activities align with operational practice and are delivered on time

Ideal Profile

• HBO level of working and thinking
• At least 3 years of experience in functional/application management and testing
• Experience with customer service applications is a plus
• Knowledge of the energy market, related market processes, and/or invoicing processes
• Experience in operational environments focused on execution, planning, or process optimisation
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to clearly describe processes and solutions
• Proactive, ownership‑driven mindset with the ability to escalate when required
• Able to balance creativity in system usage with stability and manageability

Requirements

• You must be based in the Netherlands
• Business‑level Dutch is required to be considered for this role

Practical Details

• Contract: Initial 6‑month contract, with possible extension
• Hours: 32-40 hours per week
• Location: Hybrid (partly on‑site, partly remote - Netherlands)
• Contract type: ZZP or deta‑vast
