Interim Commercial Product Manager Pricing - Energy
Start: Mid‑May / June
Duration: 6 months (extension possible)
Hours: 32-40 per week
Location: Hybrid - 2 days per week on site (Netherlands)
The assignment
For our energy client, we are looking for an Interim Commercial Product Manager Pricing to support pricing and product decisions in a fast‑changing and highly dynamic energy market.
In this role, you operate close to market developments, regulations, and customer behaviour, translating data and insights into concrete pricing actions and future‑proof energy propositions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimise competitive energy prices and tariffs based on market and customer insights
- Translate regulatory and market changes into clear pricing decisions (e.g. dynamic and value‑based pricing)
- Contribute to price and product strategy with a strong focus on customer value and commercial performance
- Co‑develop new propositions in collaboration with marketing, sales, and strategy teams
- Work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, balancing different interests
- Support fair and sustainable pricing aligned with modern energy usage (solar, EVs, heat pumps, flexibility)
Ideal profile
- 3-5 years of experience in pricing or commercial product roles, preferably within energy or related markets
- Strong analytical skills; able to turn data into practical, commercial decisions
- Experience with pricing optimisation, tariff setting, and proposition development
- Knowledge of energy market dynamics and regulatory landscapes
- Hands‑on, proactive, and confident working in complex stakeholder environments
- Available for an interim assignment and comfortable operating independently
- Business level Dutch required
